Happy 50th Birthday

A 50th birthday card for my brother-in-law - based on a design I used for one of my card classes -can't remember what the paper is called but I love the colours. I used an embossing folder to emboss the green pearlescent card - stars cut with a quickcut dies - some card candi and the sentiment made on the computer.

Inspired by Kirsty Wiseman....

Having a good nosy at Kirsty's blog and her QVC creations and was inspired to make this card for my niece's birthday on Saturday - what a great way to use up those little pieces of paper that you think you'll never use but can't bear to throw out! - cut different lengths and widths of paper and edged some of them with punches - others I just cut freehand - layer them up in a way that pleases you - I added a strip of white card with a floral embellishment and some xcut alphabet letters - I used a glue pen around the edge of the letters and added some glamour dust - lovely and sparkly - added an extra little daisyflower to one of the strips - love how this turned out.

Happy New Year!

Well the celebrations are all over for another year and I hope you all had a very Happy Christmas and that you have a wonderful crafty 2012! My hand is on the mend and I can now do some crafting but I'd need to tidy my craft room first.
This is a card I made before Christmas for a 30th birthday. the image is from Pink Petticoat and coloured with promarkers. The papers are from Echo park - I think I'd need to check - sentiments made on the computer and ribbons, gems from my stash.
